Senior Trip - Part Two

     The first Senior Trip was an eight day seven night cruise to the Grand Cayman Islands aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, it took place in the summer of 1988 as one part of our twenty five year reunion activities. "Senior Trip-Part Two" will set sail from Galveston on TBA, this will be a seven day Western Caribbean Cruise on Royal Caribbean's "Voyager of the Sea" cruise ship. Willies and Cathye Ballou, our cruise specialists, will be able to answer any questions you might have regarding this special event. Willies says one advantage to going in the Winter is while the weather may be bad in the United States, it will be nice in the Caribbean plus it's not hurricane season down there. You can also call Mary at 903-465-9118 for more details on our cruise or e-mail  shs63bearcats@cableone.net. The classmates that went on that first cruise back in 1988 have some memories that they will remember forever, we are hoping to have a larger group going this time.

 

 

"Loose Wheels, Texas" has proved to be a popular place for our previous get-togethers there so we're going there again, the date will be Saturday, November 13, 2010. For those that have not been there yet, "Loose Wheels, Texas" is a place that is very hard to describe as it is one of those places that you really just have to see. Buddy Gray, SHS Class of '60, is one of the owners. Their menu has a nice variety to it and the prices are reasonable plus there is plenty of room to mingle about for everyone. Bill McClure was a hit at our last get together there and said he hopes to be able to join us again in November. PLANO BALLOON FESTIVAL

We will be attending the 26th annual Plano Balloon Fest on Saturday, September 18, 2010, this event gets better each year and will have over 100 hot-air balloons from across the country plus a wide variety of arts and crafts, entertainment, food vendors, etc. Exact times and final details will be listed here as soon as they become available, check out www.planoballoonfest.org for further information. After the balloon fest, we will meet for dinner at a Plano restaurant before heading home. 

ZOO TWO

Zoo Two - Several classmates that attended our first Fort Worth Zoo outing want to do it again, our Zoo Two Visit will be on Saturday, October 23, 2010. A couple of different Fort Worth destinations may be added to this event to make it somewhat different from our first visit.
